Brother Gothard
I picked up a defiler today, and I immediately realized its somewhat possible to get 2 defilers from one box if you make a 4 legged spider defiler, and a 2 legged knight defiler. All you are missing is close combat arms for the bipedal guy (but if you get creative with weapon mounts, it does not really look that bad). ANYWAY, after I assembled the spider defiler, I began playing with it for almost an hour, walking it across the carpet, posing it in really cool action poses on the kitchen counter for my girlfriend to see ("Oh, isnt he cute!" :o), etc. I found a pose I really like, and I`m wondering if I should glue the legs in place. The little guy fits in my carrying case in any pose, so it wont effect transportability. So, what do you guys do with your defilers. Glued, or not glued. Uprising
Why not use magnets? Also you could get some more legs at thewarstore.com for like ten bucks. So if you got another box and one defiler legs spruce, that would be $110 without tax/shipping and get 4 defilers out of the deal. Brother Gothard
Well, the defiler leg is a ball joint, so using magnets is not really feasible: specific points of contact offered by drilling and placing magnets would not allow the freedom of movement ... OH. I see what you are saying. Yes. Magnets. Excellent! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160171-defiler/#findComment-1879475 Share on other sites
Dràyhèn
I pinned mine. The upper torso and legs are pinned so, that I can rotate the torso and remove the legs when I want. That way it's easier to transport and handle. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160171-defiler/#findComment-1879850 Share on other sites
Ju'kosian
I've glued mine but when I think about it, pinning or so would have been better, it's easier for transporting Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160171-defiler/#findComment-1880298 Share on other sites
MuGGzy
I noticed the ball joints got loose and it wouldn't stand up after a couple diss-re-assemblies so I just went ahead and glued all the legs on. I plan on magnetizing the turret and all weapons though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160171-defiler/#findComment-1880415 Share on other sites
Roultox
Or you could do what the skimmers do... Drill a small hole under it and mount it on a transparent round tall stand base like you see jetbikes on. Move the legs however you like during the combat for comvenience of impassible terrain and other models. Sception
that's actually a pretty cool idea. I glued mine, myself. No complaints - though I did have to reconvert at one point when I decided a 2nd extra ccwep would serve me better then a heavy flamer.
