UM Chaplain Conversion

Ok, model number three finished from my masters of the chapter boxed set. A slight break from painting blue here for the chaplain.

Apologies in advance for the pictures as the lighting I have is not great and has cast shadows in places like on the cloak.

Isnt that helmet made out of the tyranid skull that comes as a trophy bit on Scout sprues?

The paint job is great and the idea is rather dynamic. My only gripe is the tyranid skull's long profile makes the helmet look short and flat to fit the head of a human.

Excellant work! Its nicely done and makes me want to throw something similar on a model........

Ive heard that the skull comes from the scout set, but it could come from a genestealer box set (i wasnt aware it came with dead genestealers)

scruff, looks amazing! I actually had the same idea with a Nid head, but I plan on shaving the head down and only using the Nid "face" and filing down the marine helmet. yours seems to be a lot less work in that sense. Really great looking man. excellent job.

Actually it was a bit of a nightmare with all the filing and trying to get it to sit level on top of the helmet but worth it in the end I think.

As for the last model, you'll have to wait and see although I need to save for a new saw before I can really crack on with it.
