Shadowstalker Grim
Ok well these are my first proper models ive painted for 40k and the UM captain has appeared on the UM section a while ago......but i thought it was nigh time i show them off, they are pretty much done (theres always more to add) and until i can get a bit of highlight practicing done, they are finished. Sorry for the poor quality shots and the lack of different angles, anyway without further ado: Lord Xenrax the Unforgiving And Captain Titus Caro All C&C welcome ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160432-my-first-models/ Share on other sites

Zeller
I thought the sword had been morphed in some way in the photo because it almost looked like it was shimmering. Good clean painting. A few mold lines on the storm bolter belt and barrel. I'm particularly drawn to the hand around the power sword. A couple cleanups around the elbow on the sword arm. The termy lord looks jet black. Did you use an enamel spray paint? The cloak looks interesting on the chaos lord. Any chance for a closeup? Shadowstalker Grim
Ah thank you for the positive feedback! I intend to drill the storm bolter barrels at some point and add highlights when i get better, but yes there are a few clean ups to be done... As for the chaos lord, hes been sprayed with just a regular chaos black spray and had gold added in the form of a mithril silver basecoat and then shining gold over it. That has been pretty much all there is too it. His cape is Red gore all over, just painted on over chaos black (im lazy, i should probably add another layer and some wash over it) As for both models i'll try and get more pics of both, from different angles, but i wont have chance to do that until the 27th Anyway, thanks again :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160432-my-first-models/#findComment-1887351 Share on other sites

Kuchinawa
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj100/Kuchinawa212/DSCN1016.jpg That was my first. And you blew this right outta the water. Good job, my one thing is Silver or Grey in the armor joints for the Captain and black dots to represent a barrel to the gun. Also, give the chaos lord a 4:1 drybrush of Chaos black and Codex grey. That'll pull out all that detail. Try it an see if it works ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160432-my-first-models/#findComment-1888638 Share on other sites
