Brother Argos
Thank you to everyone who donated during the last week, your contributions are most welcome. We amazingly managed to break out target of $1500 and end up with $1938, which is wonderful! The excess money will go towards a number of areas, most importantly of which will be a new set of 1 terabyte drives for our raid 5 array (sorry for the tech speak). This will enable us to continue our blog and gallery offerings to all users, and extend our offerings hopefully when the new Invision Powerboard 3.0 is released. This donation drive will also enable us to persue some alternate technologies, as a number of people want to try out a B&C Podcast (another reason for extra storage and bandwidth), and we as always have a couple of other projects bubbling away which hopefully will be coming to fruition later this year. In addition somehow during the course of this donation drive, I was pushed into doing some work on the wargear add-on for the Space Marine Painter (Jonny Wolf has a lot to answer for!), the good news is the amount of extra donations this actually created as a number of the Chapters of Legend rose to the challenge and donated to get add-ons specific to their chapter. So it looks like the Space Wolves, Blood Angels, and Dark Angels, will be getting some new equipment on the Painter. Just to make things clear, the added drive space and other server work comes first, then I need to arrange the items to be drawn, and then write the software to make it all work, so it will happen, but don't expect it next week! Lastly I would just like to say that as always the community on the Bolter & Chainsword has again risen to the challenge, as I would hope from a community of people dedicated to playing some of the toughest, most determined warriors of the 40th millenium. Thank You! Brother Argos David Johnston Bolter & Chainsword Admin p.s. Interestingly ... less than 1% of our daily users actually contributed, I wonder what would we could do if everyone had contributed even a single dollar  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160650-donations-thank-you/ Share on other sites
