Bonemarch Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 It looks very nice! Can't say if I like the red on the sides but, that's just a personal preference. Over all it's a well done piece and I enjoy the burning lantern on the knight, to pose the same same question as Mealstorm is that freehand? The only thing I'm not fond of (Besides the red) is the dirt underneath the black cross. I would probably drop the dirt patter down a smidgen and try to make the symbol look like it's taken a bit of punishment. rookster Posted February 17, 2009 Author Share Posted February 17, 2009 sadly no the knight was not done freehand, what I did do however was draw it out its from one of the crusade banners, can't remember which one off the top of my head, any way I drew it out on computer sticker paper, painted it, cut it out with an exacto and then placed it and blended with chaos black. as for the back icon I'll have to try some things out to make it show wear and tear. also I'm really not that good a painter I still don't know how to highlight and I only really started painting in november you just have to keep trying stuff and see what works for you, as long as you did the best you could thats all that matters, just try and improve bit by bit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

alea acta est Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 shweet. it looks cool. i really like it left door with the templar bits. nice piece of flair. and the reds fine i think. nice and muted not all bright like. most of the time youll see the rhino from the top view in the last picture and i think the red trimming looks very nice.
