Bloodstone
These are my Ivory Guards from my custom renegade chapter, the Hollow Eye Clan Some of my Command Squad members. Group Shot http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0051.jpg First Born Kellen the Blind Notice the left side of his helmet is painted black, and if you look closely, his left eye is gouged out. Thats where he gets his namesake from. First Born Kellen has served with distinction in the Hollow Eye Clan since the chapter's loyalist roots as the Azure Brotherhood. On the planet of the Ork held Gorduba, he followed his brothers alongside the Great Father Aleksandr the Golden and lost his left eye on the charge against the enemy's citadel walls when a young Ork managed to catch him off guard and shot him in the head from point blank range. Kellen has since refused to repair his helmet or get a replacement eye to serve as a reminder to him of the dangers of being unalert. http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0053.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0054.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0055.jpg Apothecary Deneva http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0063.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0064.jpg Icon Bearer Exxen http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0056.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0057.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0058.jpg Guardian Torril http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0061.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0062.jpg Guardian Grulgor the Burning Eye Grulgor's name mostly comes from the fact that his left eye burns a red hue, a sign that indicates his ability as a potential psyker. However he has never been reported to manifest any psychic powers at all. http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0059.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0060.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160784-ivory-guards/ Share on other sites
Bloodstone
Added more Knight Manseks the Vulgur Manseks has always been the black sheep of the Ivory Guards. A chain smoker, drug hobo, impulsive womanizer, he also has a tendency to spew profanity for every 3 syllables he speaks when his mouth is open. An overwhelmingly huge man, even by the standards of his brother marines, he is incredibly strong but none too bright. The armory often refuses to let him requisition anymore weapons than what he currently has because of his ineptitude at learning how to properly maintain a gun. Thus Manseks is always seen charging into battle with his trusty heavy bolter, that has no ammunition whatsoever, as a sledgehammer. http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0065.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0066.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0067.jpg Guardian Robin the Lame Robin was always a headstrong soldier, stubborn in the face of danger and unafraid of pain. When served alongside Great Father Aleksandr on Gorduba, he foolishly challenged an the Orky kapitan of an Ork Dreadnought to one on one combat. Although Robin managed to severely disable the Killa-Kan by slamming his thunder hammer into its shin and breaking it, he himself was the subject of being picked up and torn in half from the crotch down by his towering foe. As of today, he has been outfitted with a floating wheelchair which he uses as transport, a place to store his belongings, and as a toilet. http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0068.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0069.jpg http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/reize-ashurea/Warhammer%2040k/th_IMG_0072.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160784-ivory-guards/#findComment-1887692 Share on other sites
Primarch Corax
To be honest, these guys would look great with a few washes. It would add a bit more depth to them. However, I loved reading the fluff, good job. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160784-ivory-guards/#findComment-1887735 Share on other sites
Bloodstone
I used the citadel wash in copious amounts. Close up in real life, u can see the shading clearly, but the flash from the camera washes out the shading. Another problem i had with painting white armor was that shading it with the new citadel washes rather than my old inks was that they tend to stain the raised surfaces and my armor usually looks gritty. Its kinda nice to have the gritty look, but they usually end up drying and i get those pool marks near the bottom of some parts of the models. I always thought Killa Kans were piloted by Orks themselves. ShinyRhino
Not too shabby. You might want to rename Knight Manseks the Vulgur tho. If you say his name as two syllables, it sounds....naughty.
