Chief213
All I get is the standard gun across body look What do I do if I want them to hold it to the side? I need some conversion tips Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160839-grey-hunter-arms/ Share on other sites
Vash113
Well it all has to do with how you assemble them. The standard plastic kit allows them to be shooting forward, down, up etc. All depending on how you turn the torso, position the head and the arms and so forth. Also with some simple cutting of elbow's, shoulders and wrists you can have them holding the gun one handed, resting against the shoulder, held at ease and what not. A popular twist is to give them a chainsword in one hand (lots of spares with the Assault Marines kit) and the Bolter in the other. You can also get a very forward shooting look by taking a Bolt Pistol arm and cutting the pistol off and replacing it with a Bolter. Your imagination is the limit really. Wing_Knight
Most of mine have bolt pistol and chainsword but i cut the pistol off and put a bolter on it looks pretty good especially the arm that is extended gives a very pointed look of shooting at someone. Grey Mage
Cut and glue the hands as you like... glue the arms on in different positions. I really do reccommend getting a bloodclaw box and an assault squad box. Chief213
I am getting a blood claw box. Just not right now. I play on making this hunter group a shoot group. Though giving as many of them close combat weapons as a can. Blood Claws are going to be an up close and personal group. So those chain swords will come in handy. I do not have the money right now for the blood claw box Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160839-grey-hunter-arms/#findComment-1887507 Share on other sites
WG Vrox
Like Vash said, all pretty easy conversions by cutting wrists, elbows, and just under the shoulder at an angle for a twist that raises the arm. I did a few that added the scope and raised the gun to eye level for a looking through scope look. I cut the clip and put it in the holding hand like he was reloading. Frag throwing, Bolter and Pistol running. Here are a few. Denkal
It's always an option to give them the across-the-body pose, then take a spare chainsword arm, cut the sword off, and use the sheathed daggers from the SW sprue to give them a new handle, then pop the sword on their back. Perfectly Wysiwyg, and they still have the look of rapid firing. I wouldn't bother modelling straps or anything to hold the chainsword to their armor. As far as I can tell, it's power armor. Surely there must be some kind of magnetic attachment for quick draw. But I personally just buy the Blood Claw box, and switch out the pistols for bolters. So they have the look of both their proper wargear, and True Grit. Chief213
I got a ton of bolters in my GH box, and trying to give most of them one or two handed poses, AND close combat weapon. Doing ok so far. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160839-grey-hunter-arms/#findComment-1887598 Share on other sites
