jeffersonian000
I was pricing out some of my older Sister figs, and noticed something in our wargear section: Combi-Stake Crossbows have a different set of rule that treats them as 24", S3, AP5, Assault 2 weapons all the time, and only have special wounding rules versus psykers. Which means its not a Boltgun with a one-shot add on. Is this correct? Grand Master Tyrak
The different rules refer only to the Stake-Crossbow part. The Str 3 AP 5 part only counts if you are firing the Stake-Crossbow at a non-psyker. The Boltgun part remains unchanged from any other combi-weapon. You get the Bolter part all the time. The Stake-Crossbow has two profiles, one for psychic targets, one for non-psychic targets. You still only get one use of the Stake-Crossbow part. If you are referring to getting multiple shots from the Stake-Crossbow being Assault 2, then yes you are right, just in the same way you can rapid fire a Combi-Plasma.
