Weapons + Bikes

Am I the only one who's thinking to himself 'How do they steer with weapons in both hands?'?

Ok, I know there doesn't seem to be rules against it, but I just have a problem with it on some level... ;)

Actually, the way I model my bikers gets around this. I model them with 1 hand steering the bike, and the mount the Storm Shield on that same forearm, they arnt actually "Holding" it. Very simular to jousting shields in that the horses rider could still hold the reins as well.

Just my own way around it. I have seen someone else who modeled thier bikes with loads of extra armour plates, stating that the "Storm Shield" was built into the bike itself, around the rider.

I really haven't considered putting my leader on a bike before but I might try it out. Throwing a WGBL and his WG all on bikes would be entertaining at the least.

I'll be trying this out in an Apoc game in March.

It's a hideously expensive unit, but I think it'll be worth it. I rarely leave the fang without my 'Blood Claw Biker Gang'. And my enemies have learned to fear them...

CC by 2nd turn and a threat that just can't be ignored...

Actually LP in 3rd edition they agreed with you.... and a space marine bike, as well as other bikes took up a hand. Ever notice how our bloodclaw bikers only get a CCW? Its because the bike took up a "hand".

Yeah, I noticed that, which is one of the reasons for my way of thinking...

Well, I'll definitely give them storm shields now :-O
