Venter Posted February 23, 2009 Share Posted February 23, 2009 Hi all, today i've seen kikkala's awesome Word Bearers in the WIP forum, and since many liked my first Flesh Tearer (thanks :wub: ) I thought you might appreciate these two Word Bearers I made some time ago, as a couple of models for an aborted army. I like them a lot, plus I made four other models which I think are among the best conversions I've ever made, but I find that the new codex: CSM causes themed undivided legions armies to suck a lot ;), so I quitted... anyway, life is long :tu: , so probably some day 'll make a whole Word Bearers army. I agree with RazakelIII about sooner rather than later. Venter Posted February 25, 2009 Author Share Posted February 25, 2009 :tu: On a black basecoat, I started with a mix of Mechrite Red and black; then I painted the next layers highlighting the bottom part of each plaque of armor, as can be seen well on the legs of the standard bearer (hope you understood this, my English is not that good at 9 in the morning :)). Thr first highlight was pure Mechrite Red (you should use Scab Red instead, it blends much better, but I did not have the pot :P), then i proceeded with 50/50 Mechrite Red/Blood Red and finally I drew a line of 50/50 Mechrite Red/white.
