Some Help required

Ok so normally i am a devoted space wolf player, but i am working on a Fallen Angel army. But before i go further, let me back track some. Just over 3 years ago, my ex and i had a child. he was born 5 1/2-6 months along with a very severe illness. He lived for only a few days, and sent me through a roller coaster of emotions. His name was Cypher, because some how it fit more than anything else. well, to bring it more up to date, after several years, my wife and i seperating, and basically having my life fall apart around me, i've been able to pick up the pieces, and pay off most of the debt (ah yes, the ever present reminder of my son's short life, bills). and with all of that taken care of, i find myself in an odd place for the first time in a long time, able to really finish and round out an army or 2. so i've been working on my space wolves to get back into it all, seeing as how i still had several thousand points sitting around. But, as i work on them, i find myself drawn ever nearer to my goal, which is too finish the Fallen Angel army i started for my son 3 years ago.

And this is where y'all come in. i really don't know what to do. i want to do infantry, lots of infantry, and am trying to stray away from overly chaotic things, like defilers. i know this is a limiting factor, but i just don't feel like the overly chaotic things belong in this army. i am, however adding in a splash of slaanesh (as the army i was playing the day he was born was an old noise marine army, and again it just seems right to include it). i am using the templar arms for the bolters and bolt pistol ccw arms, as i like the chained feel. otherwise i'm kinda stuck. so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks mates

Oh, by the way, yes i do have the cypher model (actually i have like 20, as i always loved him and his model) and am using it for something. not sure what yet, prolly a chaos lord. any wolf, here you go. thanks guys. peace

Well not touching the first subject, to get to the point of your post first.

You may not do icons/defilers/obliterators/cult units/marky stuff/daemon weapons and the like if I have it correct from your restrictions. That doesnt leave much for a different feel to the force then a normal marine army. Aside from the fact our marines have better options then loyalists do.

Suggest these units:

Terminators(You lack different units from loyalists, this one will help)

Chosen - Only if you want short range 'devistators'. (Dont make them melee, pick terminators if you want melee chosen)

Havocs, Predators, Vindicators, Land Raider - Yeah the usual stuff. Havocs though may be your choice.

Bikes, Raptors. Naturally, I'd say raptors are better, you best have your icons in the raptor units and termi units.

If you want a -full- cypher feel, invulnerable saves are more for you since cypher gets 'saved' a lot. Tzeentch Icons would be your prime icon if you wanted one. Otherwise go with your slaanesh icon here and there, or glory if you dont mind.

You gave no real specific playstyle, and lots of infantry didnt specify rhinos. You gave no real specifications how you want the army played at all. (thus the lack of comments)

Any idea and what cult units you may consider using? You going to add noise marines?

Plastic Dark Angels veteran robes are a yes yes as far as I'm concerned, a good number of my fallen have them (maybe over have, although I only have 21 fallen.)

I think a relatively small, Elite army background wise would be the way to go. Maybe using chosen and terminators for elites after that I feel you have pretty much defined what you can use by cutting a lot of it out and so with what you have left you just need to make an army that is playable and that you will enjoy using.

i suppose i should clarify further. i'm not adverse to cult units, or marked units, i just don't want REALLY chaosy stuff, like defilers, daemons, etc. otherwise, any infantry is good. heck i even have an idea for obliderators (using techmarines in servo harness, with some conversion). yeah. and thanks for the input thus far guys

OK I support Roultox and specially Hellios' input.

Fallen angels should be very elite and smallish numbers.

I'll try to keep fluffy. I strongly support chosen and termies for elites, noises and basic marines with IoT as troops. I'd stay out of transports if you don't already have 'em 'cos I see your force as a come from nowhere gone to nowhere one and transports don't feel right, too bulky if you get my point.

I'd say IoS on termies to reflect more combat prowess/experience and IoT on everything else (except noises) to give 'em extra durability and stay fluffy. In practical terms you could go IoN too for that extra durability.

Just two cents.

Note: IoT: Icon of Tzeentch; IoS: Icon of Slanesh; IoN: Icon of Nurgle. Can't see any way toinclude Khorne...
