Marshal van Trapp
I need some help with this one, i have seen a great deal of "ironclad" dreadnoughts with a pair of ccw's but i don't see anywhere in the rules where they can have 2 (except with a seismic hammer right?) so i feel like i'm missing something... am i? (also i lent my codex to my dad so he could take a look at it so i don't have it for clarification right now) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/161522-ironclad-2-ccws/ Share on other sites
Lord Marius
Yeah, I've seen a few people with a non-hammer arm on both sides. They've been counting one as the seismic hammer though. A seismic hammer is just a DCCW with special rules, so as long as your opponent is clear which is which (and you don't mind), then two arms that look like combat weapons is fine. I don't think there's an actual ironclad model out, which would be one reason there's no actual standard seismic hammer around. Hope that helps EDIT: Spelling Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/161522-ironclad-2-ccws/#findComment-1896758 Share on other sites
Cedric
The Seismic hammer is a DCCW in itself. If you look at the A for the Ironclad, you'll find that it reads 2(3). The third attack comes from 2 DCCWs. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/161522-ironclad-2-ccws/#findComment-1896759 Share on other sites
Frosty the Pyro
your right, sorta, the seismic hammer IS a DCCW. so yeah the way you get 2 DCCW is with 1 DCCW and a siesmic hammer, (or 1 DCCW and a chainfist). The DCCW+siesmic hammer is what the ironclad comes with default Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/161522-ironclad-2-ccws/#findComment-1896761 Share on other sites
Marshal van Trapp
Ah ok, so you get a seismic hammer and a DCCW, i thought the hammer replaced it and it had a gun, silly me, now i can see exactly why they look like they do as i see the other CCW looks a bit like a pistoned arm with rams and the like Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/161522-ironclad-2-ccws/#findComment-1896782 Share on other sites
