You do know that genestealers hit first, on 3's with reroll too hit huh? and the broodlord itself hits too. So you lose more than 4 of them

11x2(they got charged)=22, that is 14.6 hits (2 rending average, down to 12.6) then wounding 6 more, total 8, then about 3 more from the lord for 11. Save 1/3rd its 7 deaths averaging.

 

Im off by 3 or so, but thats assuming the broodlord came with a full retinue. If he is lucky to have a demon unit of 15 giving him perfect 4+ cover/armor saves from any guns firing before hand. If he losts 3 or so(even more), then my average of 4 is more likely the case in average dice rolls.

 

I try to assume people consider the pre-requisite of the firing phase before the 15 daemons charge when I said they got the charge. My apologies.

Mutt-man, in 5th Edition, Rending happens with "To Wound" rolls.

Goes to show how rusty I am after a long retreat from the game. Anyone got a metal brush?

You need to get the deamons with a right reserves roll too and you need to have an Icon near, so you can get the charge on the turn you get in too so....I say its not really a good counter
