laundry hamper
This year, I decided to make a resolution to work my way through the unpainted masses one army at a time, so it actually gets done. First up, my Salamanders: Vulkan He'stan http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/VulkanHestan1.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/VulkanHestan2.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/VulkanHestan4.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/VulkanHestan3.jpg Captain http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/2ndCompanyCaptain.jpg Tactical Squads http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/2ndCompanyTacticalSquad1A.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/2ndCompanyTacticalSquad1B.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/2ndCompanyTacticalSquad2A.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/2ndCompanyTacticalSquad2B.jpg Devastator Squad http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/2ndCompanyDevastatorSquad10A.jpg Predator http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/Pred1.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/Pred2.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/Pred3.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/Pred4.jpg Land Raider Redeemer http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/LRR1.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/LRR2.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/LRR3.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/eek_107/Heroes%20of%20Armageddon/Salamanders/Finished/LRR4.jpg All I need to finish off are the second half of my Devastators, a TH/SS Terminator Squad and a Dreadnought and I'll have my 1500pts. Morte
Love the "ninja turtle" look you've given Vulkan  Real cool paint job you've given your entire army, jokes aside. Looks like you've pulled them out of a 'Eavy Metal shelf somewhere. YSIM
That is an awesome He'Stan! All of your Salamanders are really good. Would you mind sharing your color scheme? How about a parts list for He'Stan too? I'd like to know what you used for his cloak. Great job! cant wait to see more of them! Hope this helps. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/161844-salamanders/#findComment-1901380 Share on other sites
Shadowstalker Grim
Wow awesome models, really well done! My only dislike is a personal dislike and that is of the techmarine torso...it makes he'stan look a little bulky. Just looking at this Vulkan makes me want one...................... The models are some of the best i have seen, keep up the fantastic work :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/161844-salamanders/#findComment-1901437 Share on other sites
Prot
Great work. Super clean paint job. Is that a forgeworld pad on Vulkan? Or did you convert that up? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/161844-salamanders/#findComment-1901566 Share on other sites
Chaplain Octavian
sweet, I really he'stan! How well do the magnets on the Predator work, I was considering doing something similar but wasn't sure how to do it... DibbZi
Awesome He'stan model, 2 things. 1. where did you get the helm for him? 2. The large plate on his belt, you should throw the salamanders emblem on that. food for thought. Other then that me likey!!! laundry hamper
Thanks again folks! Wow awesome models, really well done! My only dislike is a personal dislike and that is of the techmarine torso...it makes he'stan look a little bulky. Just looking at this Vulkan makes me want one...................... The models are some of the best i have seen, keep up the fantastic work ^_^ Thanks! Personally I prefer the "bulkier" look for SM in general, but different strokes and all that... :) Great work. Super clean paint job. Is that a forgeworld pad on Vulkan? Or did you convert that up? Forge World on both sides. Couldn't live without 'em! sweet, I really he'stan! How well do the magnets on the Predator work, I was considering doing something similar but wasn't sure how to do it... They work pretty well for the most part. Just make sure the magnets inside the sponson guns are dead straight and at the right depth, otherwise the gun will go crooked. Awesome He'stan model, 2 things. 1. where did you get the helm for him? 2. The large plate on his belt, you should throw the salamanders emblem on that. food for thought. Other then that me likey!!! 1. The missile launcher marine from Assault on Black Reach. 2. I'd thought about it, but there's already so many Salamanders symbols I figured it would be overkill. I still haven't figured out just what I want to put there yet. XKhalilX
one of the best conversions I have ever seen. I bought the Dark Elf Corsair cloaks for my Steel Wyverns. You have now shown my a solution in using them properly. Thanks Laundry Hamper. The best part about your conversion, despite the supreme paint job you did, was the the green stuff with the cloak and the helmet. It truly looks like it was a one piece metal model. You would never have known that a third of that cloak(and the tabard for that matter) were green stuffed, it looks like part of the model. Same goes for the helmet. I have been wanting to cut that head off the AOBR marine for awhile but I am so afraid I will mess it all up! Great job man, 10/10 for sure. I saw your unsure about what to put on the circle on his abdomen. Maybe you can have the Imperial Eagle, or you could Green Stuff dragon's teeth in a circle?
