Storm Dragons (Unforgiven)

Recommended Posts

Hi - nice paint scheme, though im not liking the 'shine' on that purple. Did you use inks or the Leviathan Purple wash?

Also, i think a Badab Black wash would go great over the Bronze.

Nice though, like to see some more pics.

ooooohh shiny!!

I like the concept of the bronze armor, i was thinking about doing the same thing a few years ago but never got around to it.

I do have to agree with Puddle though, a bit of black wash would help tone it down a bit and give better definition... armour wash would be better... if GW still made it... oh well, black will have to do.

Oh and ignore the other guys, i like the purple, it gives a good strong contrast.

Impressive and unique scheme you have there mate; I really like the contrast that the purple creates, and I think you have a good mix of colours on your tanks and the -wings as well.

I've experimented a little with bronze myself (and I don't claim to be a good painter by any stretch of the imagination, so take any advice I give with a bucketload of salt), but I have found that some watered down Devlan Mud wash worked slightly better for me than the black wash, as it seemed to give contrast without dulling it down too much.

It really comes down to personal preference, but if you don't want to lose the shine but want to wash them, it might be worth experimenting a little.

Once again, really impressed.
