FreakForge
Hi everybody! Here´s the last commission that I have done, for a fellow member of this forums: Van Zan. I take inspiration from the original artwork in the codex marines, but I made soem changes on the design to make the model more accurate of what we ( Van Zan & myself ) have in mind for this character. So all began with a sketch: http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i305/FreakForge/DeathGuard/commission%20work/Korsarroonfootsketch.jpg That ended like this: http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i305/FreakForge/Rusted-Memories/korsarrofinishedfront.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i305/FreakForge/Rusted-Memories/korsarrofinishedback.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i305/FreakForge/Rusted-Memories/korsarrofinisheddeailsV.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i305/FreakForge/Rusted-Memories/korsarrofinisheddetailsIV.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i305/FreakForge/Rusted-Memories/korsarrofinisheddetailsIII.jpg C&C are welcome as usual. Regards FF PS: coming soon the mounted version. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/162129-korsarro-khan/ Share on other sites

Lord Doyok
THIS IS .. SUUUPEEERRR!!! Overall look is superb.. and the cloak.. if i'm not wrong, it was made from human skin, stitched together huh :tu:. awesome barbaric appearance. Love it. _Cadaver_
FreakForge, I love both the illustration and the finished model! The sculpting you've done is top notch, as usual. However, if I'm perfectly honest; I don't like the head. It's not bad by any means but the eyes seem a little too large. I hope you don't take my criticism the wrong way, as I pretty much want to start a white scars army because of this model now! :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/162129-korsarro-khan/#findComment-1905047 Share on other sites
Vash113
Overall look is superb.. and the cloak.. if i'm not wrong, it was made from human skin, stitched together huh :tu:. awesome barbaric appearance. The White Scars aren't chaos, it's animal pelts stitched together, however the fur is really well done and has a nice layered lok where the hair looks like it's blowing around rather than flat like most sculpted fur looks. the thousandth whisper
That is the awesomest white scar i have EVER seen OMG! I second the critique about the head, I find it a bit "obese" and the eyes are huuge, it sort of works that he looks wise, but the sketch's head was much better, same design, but a small difference in execution Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/162129-korsarro-khan/#findComment-1905119 Share on other sites

Dudley Nightshade
Blown away. Guessing you have probably seen that Forge World is looking for model designers? I'm in no way associated - just saw it on their website. Model Designer Job Description ++Edit: Granted, travel from Argentina to Nottingham might get tedious, but maybe they'd be willing to video conference or something. FreakForge
Thanks to everyone for the comments! I´m still working on the mounted version of Korsarro. Iwill show the model when it´s done. However, if I'm perfectly honest; I don't like the head. It's not bad by any means but the eyes seem a little too large. I second the critique about the head, I find it a bit "obese" and the eyes are huuge, it sort of works that he looks wise, but the sketch's head was much better, same design, but a small difference in execution Van Zan requested that the head was a little bit large for painting purposes. Besides, I think that the eyes are not that big, just the big enough to represent some etnic details  . Lord Doyok, like Vash113 says, the cape it´s made of animals´ fur. By the way, the way that I do the fur it´s quite simple, Instead of give texture to a thin layer of GS, I made short sausages of GS. I glue those sausages to the cape, and give texture with a pointy sculpting tool. Maybe it´s not very clear . I promise to take some pics the next time that i made one of this cloacks. Brother Yroc thanks for the info !! Thanks again for the comments !! Until soon. Sarr
That's... that's amazing. And rather discouraging to someone who is just trying to get into green-stuffing, and knows he will NEVER be that good.
