Brother Tober
Is it true that a Drop Pod may not fire in the turn it accesses the battle field? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/162196-drop-pod-firing/ Share on other sites
Cedric
Depends on the Pod... Vanilla Pods are out of luck. Black Templar pods have PotM and can blast away at leisure. Perfect for some much needed pie-plates BT- pods also don't roll for mishaps, due to the sheer awesomness of these guys. The only downside is that they don't enter play on turn one... =/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/162196-drop-pod-firing/#findComment-1905905 Share on other sites
Sternguard sergeant McColl
C:SM drop pods don't roll for mishap either, unless they scatter off the table. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/162196-drop-pod-firing/#findComment-1906375 Share on other sites

Right, but at least you get to roll for mishaps, we BT lose the pod and any unit inside if our pods land off the table. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/162196-drop-pod-firing/#findComment-1906394 Share on other sites
Brother Nicolas
Why would you lose the pod? The new Deep Strike rules you get the Mishap table also... or is it in your rules that if you go off the table your gone? Our rules for 'drop pod assault' are worded different than those in the C:SM and make no mention of using the deep strike rules when we arive by drop pod. Therefore since we don't use the deep strike rules when arriving by a drop pod assault we cannot use the deep strike mishaps table if the pod was to land off table.
