As Max said the piece of wargear is useless now anyway soooo. You should be able to use him anyway as Brother Tancred said.

I ether use mine as a regular wolf priest or

My gaming club allows me to use him and knock off the cost of his wargear that no longer does anything, tbh without this cost reduction he is ridiculously expense.

Kickme829 no need to be a jerk but yeah as long as you ask your opponents permission.

then dont post something i dont need

but erm without the helm its about 160 points is that fair?

also since im trying to make a wolf lord with a pair of lightning claws do you think hes a good model for the conversion(the wolf helm just looks so COOOL)

jeff dont really care what you use him as. So i can use ulrik in 500-1999 matches?>

You're a friendly one. I was offering a suggestion as to how else you could use your Ulrik model, that way you aren't using 200 points of HQ in a 500 point match, especially when a decent portion of his wargear is useless. *pat Kick on head*

I took for granted that I saw my post as a play off of Max's post, rather than fully clarifying myself. For that, I am sorry. I do mean to say though, out of cost-effectiveness, Ulrik doesn't really have it. I am with you though, he is my favorite Wolf model, the helmet and Crozius are beautiful, so I play him as aforementioned. Again, I am sorry for the misinterpretation as I should have fully made myself clear.

If your rude, then people wont post anything you do need. The guy was offering an alternative in case you felt attached to a beautiful model. Ok?

As for the 160pts, were the wrong people to ask... talk to your local gaming group. As for the lightning claws.... depends on where your getting the claws from. Most of the current models will be simply to large in the hands to fit on him.

and im wondering does it come with the arms on top body or off?

kickme829.

It has always been the convention, that if the Special Character is allowed then the weapons or wargear that is included in his price is allowed too.

At least that is the case in the UK and in OZ, you Yanks seem to have a different view of things.

ok so ulrik is 200 points but he has wolf helm of russ which is only allowed in 2000 points or more. Does this mean hes not allowed to be in any matches that are 2000 points or lower?

To get back on topic.

i agree with grey mage and thylacine, i didn't know that wargear could restrict you like that, as my understanding was that special charactors brought their wargear regardless, and that theirs didn't count against you in terms of limits (i.e. points or number allowed) and such unless noted otherwise.
