Azatoth
Situation: A twin heavy flamer equipped Razorback (RB) tank fires. As far as I know on all non-Hellhound vehicles, the templates still has to touch the barrel end of the weapon. A heavy flamer is S 5. A RB has a max armor or 11. Anything under a template is hit automatically. Question: Does the RB owner need to roll for AP against his own vehicle? battle captain corpus
No, friendly fire from your own vehicle doesnt count. ;) It would be like saying that a flamer wielding marine takes a wound as his base is touched the template also. HiveFleetEzekial
Two things to remember: The template touches any part of the vehicle now (IIRC), so you're just touching the edge, you're not 'under it'. ;D And, the big nasty gun on a Hellhound, is not a 'heavy flamer'. So it really doesn't work for a rules comparison in this case. Different weapons, different rules. It's much more potent, much deadlier, and just all 'round better, than a mere heavy flamer. (sucks that it's getting its range clipped in the new 'dex, though) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/162385-heavy-flamers-in-non-hellhound-vehicles/#findComment-1908856 Share on other sites

That's why I excluded the HH. B) Ty for the hint with the older questions, but there is no difinite answer there either. Isiah
Ty for the hint with the older questions, but there is no difinite answer there either. That's because no consensus could be reached, but plenty of good enough workarounds suggested to fit the bill to satisfy general gaming needs (proper tourneys excluded maybe). Please carry on the older discussion if you have anything xtra to add as it isn't that old and I can't see any worth in keeping this one going. In the meantime... If you have any, *ehem*, "burning" issues to add to this topic specifically please PM a OR Mod and we'll consider reopening.
