Need the opinions of Wolves.

The one thing that has kept me amused throughout this entire thread is that the people that stick to the Inquisition forum had completely opposite responses from everyone here.

Kieran, I should point out that I'm not planning a full blown army with this. Two special characters MAYBE, but not likely. It was something I felt like writing.

Strange that you've decided that the 'clans' forbid women to fight. Female warriors were not unusual in NW European/Scandic tribes so why would it be any different on Fenris?

Actually, I believe you are wrong according to the last world history class I took.

Interesting that one course can cover 'world history' :P

I'm presently engaged in research on the Northern Crusades. This covers a couple of hundred years in a corner of Europe with limited, fragmentary and contradictory sources - and is a subject that is the lifelong specialisation for some scholars.

Am I wrong, perhaps, as the more I study the less I find I know ;)

Like I said, its entirely possible... its not what I find the most likely course of events..... but over 10k years almost anything can happen, so go for it.

Personally I'd say, yeah, go for it.

Who knows, the next time they retcon some fluff Space Wolves could suddenly be great buddies with the =][= and the nuns with guns could have a convent on Fenris...

You never know with GW B)

Personally I like the idea, and once I get better at painting faces, I might make some shield maiden terminators just for the heck of it...

Oh you haven't been hanging out with Thunder too much have you?

In the end sending off two girls to the Sisters isn't unjustifiable but Shield Maiden Termies? :tu: Can never stand the concept of female marines.

You mean you can't stand the concept of female Space Marines. You see, there is an occult difference between Space Marines and space marines. I did a little spiel on it with one of my english projects. The name Space Marine applies to the Astartes that we know and love. The term space marine generally applies to a futuristic/sci fi soldier who has been genetically and/or cybernetically enhanced for greater success in combat.

Female Space Marines = not viable due to no supporting fluff.

Female space marines = Halo's SPARTANS, 40k's Sisters of Battle and other things, including that stupid Van Damme supersoldier movie.
