Long Fang

There's some conflicting answers here, some saying that you can shoot even though the Rhino has moved, others only if it hasn't, or popped smoke.

Can a Long Fang unit of 3 (pack leader and two lascannons) fire both Lascannons from the two fire points if the Rhino moved - if so under which circumstances please?

It would be cool to move the Rhino, pop smoke and then fire two lascannon shots, safe that its under smoke in the enemies shooting phase.

Thanks all.

BRB says if the vehicle moves then you count as moving. Simple eh?

Exactly!!! pg 66 details that: "models firing from a vehicle count as moving if the vehicle moves", so no heavy weapons. Also you "may not fire at all if the vehicle moved at cruising speed that turn"

pg 67

"Crew Shaken and Stunned-Passengers may not shoot from the vehicle in their next Shooting phase, but are otherwise unaffected."

I hope this explaination is more clear, than my last.

Also popping smoke occurs after the vehicles move but before the Shooting phase. Causing the vehicle to be unable to fire any of its weapons. I would count any passangers unable to fire as well under those circumstances. Similar to the vehicle being shaken.

However the rune priest could cast storm caller on the vehicle which would still let the guys shoot in my view.

This idea is prett nice, would be rather awesome to have two lascannons firing from a rhino even if its just kept in spawn in some cover. Good modeling opertunity too. May just try that. OFC the usual "predator is cheaper and has more armour" argument will pop up but it still won't be as cool as two long fangs poking out of the top of a rhino.
