New Imperial Guard codex

Recommended Posts

I will keep this short and simple:

AP 3 Hellguns :P

Now,with the new Imperial Guard codex out in two months,Daemonhunters are weaker and weaker.I understand GW wont make a new codex any time soon, and I can live with that, hell this codex aint that bad.But FOR THE LOVE OF GOD,cant they just release a reference sheet for Daemonhunters using new weapon rules(force weapons, hellguns, storm shields.....)

Thank you

Well now, it isn't ALL bad.

Consider yourself lucky that the new purveyors of MEQ-killing goodness is an army that Daemonhunters can ally with, as opposed to someone like, say, Dark Eldar. As an important potential component of the Daemonhunters list, I would say a new guard codex only makes us stronger (though, on the other hand, I never use GK).

And as for a little bit of DH love from GW, we've been clamoring for that for years, but I still sincerely doubt it's going to happen. On the other hand, DH may receive an errata sometime soon based on how they will interact with their new allies.

Cheers,

Shunch

They're next. :D

On the other hand, changing all our wargear to be in line with the newest model is going to severely affect our codex balance. If that happens, then those who want to change the character of the Daemonhunters get a head start since it's already been changed. Personally, I can put up with shoddy wargear for a few years if it means the new codex stays true to the theme and playstyle of the Grey Knights.
