Dudley Nightshade
As always, apologies if this is covered somewhere. I didn't find it. I just realized what seems to be a strange implication of vehicles moving at Cruising Speed when arriving via Deep Strike. If you deploy your Dreadnought in a drop pod, it arrives on the table at cruising speed (BRB pg. 95). Walkers don't even have a cruising speed on the chart on pg. 73, so it would seem that they can't fire any weapons on the turn they land--same as the drop pod itself. Is that true? B) If so, that sucks. Have I missed an exception somewhere? Thanks. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/162746-walkers-in-drop-pods/ Share on other sites
eyescrossed
No. Can't remember the actual rules quote, but it's the same with Soul Grinders - you CAN shoot on the turn you land. Someone else better find the actual rule I'm talking about. Dudley Nightshade
Okay, I may have found it. Page 72: Walkers can move and fire all of their weapons, just like a stationary vehicle. It doesn't specify what "speed", so I think we're good. *whew* I thought I had lost my mind there for a second and had been playing it wrong. ++Edit: Ah, we must have been typing at the same time B) Cheers!
