More than one unit in a transport?

Hi all,

Can the following scenarios be legal?

1. 6 Grey Hunters and 10 Blood Claws travelling in a single Land Raider Crusader?

2. 13 Blood Claws, joined by a Wolf Priest, with a Wolf Lord also travelling in the same Land Raider Crusader - but the Wolf Lord not being joined to the BC squad?

3. 15 BC's with a Wolf Lord also travelling in the same Land Raider Crusader - but the Wolf Lord not being joined to the BC squad?

Thanks all

For options 2. and 3. you can have him in the unit and just don't disembark him or disembark him 2" from the unit so they arn't together afterwards, solving the problem. not too sure about option 1. though. I imagine you could as you can have more than 1 unit in a thunderhawk but then they arn't really the same thing. To play it safe I'd say no, but really if it comes down to a friendly game all you have to do is ask your opponent.

Check page 66 of the BRB .....second paragraph under Transport Capacity....

2 and 3 are legal. You would have to disembark the IC(s) more than 2" away from the BCs....if you can't get him 2" away then he will be with the pack until the next movement phase where he can move out of coherency.

Thanks guys, would I then be correct in thinking I could have a Land Raider Crusader holding a 14 Strong BC pack, led by a Priest who can call Storm caller over them - and also carry a Wolf Guard with the Mark of the Wulfen - just as long as he disembarks more than 2" away from everyone else? I can't see anything in the SW codex that says he can't, and it solves the problem of getting him into an assault without be shot at on foot, or having a dedicated transport for him.
Sorry, you can't have a MotW model in the same transport as other troops- he counts as being with the unit until he manages to disembark 2" away, and since he has a rule saying he can't ever join units, it's either the Claws or him in the Raider.
from my understandin you can't have more than one unit in a transport. So how would question 1 be legal?

I think the argument here is that, until deployed, the IC and the unit inside the transport are not "technically" part of the same unit. that being said, if anyone tried that on me, i would bash them hard upside the head. This is the type of rules mongering that I try to help our fellow brothers avoid, and I'm sorry, but I must take away your ale ration. SW's dont need to stoop to such levels to win a game, and I really hope that you wont either.

That said, super heavy transports can have all the different units they want inside of them, so if you are really keen to pack a bunch of units up in a single vehicle, go out and get yourself a Stormlord, as it can carry up to 30 (?) troops. that's 6 long fang packs that can fire at 12 diff targets, plus the 2 lascannons and 3 tlhb's on the chassis of the vehicle, plus if it stays still to let the fangs shoot, you get 30 vulcan megabolter shots...can I get a hell yeah?

To be honest I thought 1 might be legal ( I don't think so but possibly) because it is a Heavy Rather than a Troop Transport option, therby not having 1 unit dedicated to it....

I don't think running 10 BC and 6 GH in the same crusader is that outrageous... whether legal or not.

But just for future refrence, You can't due this correct?
