jeffersonian000
This one threw me: I'm on Army Builder, and it's requiring me to purchase a bolter for the Vet Superior as the upgrade to Vet seems to have robbed her of her weapons. This is this correct? I was under the assumption that an upgraded member of the unit retained their unit weapons unless those weapons are replaced with something else. WarriorFish
It's not so much "free" - more of her standard equipment! A Superior - veteran or not - comes with a bolter. You can relace it free of charge with a bolt pistol and close combat weapon. The VSS gets access to the armoury too, so you can by a bolter if you really wanted, which is probably where that comes from. I've not used the Army Builder, so unless you're reading it wrong or something it's incorrect in this case. A model without a weapon is pretty useless :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163052-veteran-sister-superior/#findComment-1916291 Share on other sites
jeffersonian000
Woops! I see; the program is smarter than I am, as it does drop the 2pts for the bolter once you select it making the bolter and/or pistol & CCW option effectively free. SJ The 2 point cost is the standard charge I believe for bolters in a WH army. That being said, when you click on the bolter it makes its cost 0 for sister superiors of most varieties. I think the Seraphim Veteran Superior will actually cost 2 points, though I would never give her one.
