Morbad
I'm having trouble grokking the Seize the Initiative rule. I think it works like this: You and opponent role off, winner gets to choose whether or not to deploy first and take the first turn. Then, after deployment, the player going second can choose to "Seize the Initiative" and force another roll off to decide who actually goes first. Right? If so, my question is why/when would you do this? Or, why/when wouldn't you do this? I suppose I can see the advantage of deploying second but going first. Top Secret
The advantage is you can force your opponent to deploy first (an advantage to you because you know where all of his units are going) and then you go first. There are cases where you would not do this. For example, a way of siam haim jetbike army, or a Space Marine Drop Pod list should always go second.
