Captain Engelhardt
Sanguinius: What do you mean by "what sword" ? Ferrus Manus: Either: - Bare metal hands - Forgebreaker (crafted by Fulgrim for Ferrus, later taken back by Fulgrim) - Fireblade (given to Fulgrim, later taken back by Ferrus) Night Haunter: Either: - Bare hands - Lightning claws (- Sword ?) Brother Aleron
I don't think ferrus' hammer was called forgebreaker, I think that was Peturabo's hammer. As fror sanguinius, he used a flaming greatsword, and as far as I know they never named it. And I think the night haunter used his bare hands. -Brother Aleron Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163114-weapons-of-the-primarchs/#findComment-1917666 Share on other sites

Yaji
^ The sword from Blood Quest was called "Encarmine". In issue 1 it says Sanguinus gave it to a BA hero. Captain Engelhardt
I don't think ferrus' hammer was called forgebreaker, I think that was Peturabo's hammer. Actually, the one doesn't contradict the other. It went like this: Forgebreaker is crafted by Fulgrim Fulgrim gives it to Ferrus Manus. Fulgrim steals it from Ferrus. Fulgrim gives it to Horus. Horus gives Forgebreaker to Perturabo to convert him. Perturabo kicks butts. Lord_Caldera
Shouldn't the final point on that actually read "Perturabo kicks butts with Kevin Bacon"? Lord_Caldera
;) I was going for Six Degrees from Kevin Bacon with Fulgrim, I think. Kevin Bacon sounds like a good name for a weapon though. Imriel
Sanguinius - Spear Of Telesto, Blade Encarmine?Ferrus Manus - giant wrench Inspite of the picture on the cover, at no point in Fulgrim does Ferrus us a giant wrench, he uses an eagle headed hammer called Forgebreaker(unclear if its the same one Perturabo uses) and later uses Fireblade after Fulgrim tried to corrupt him. Fulgrim - Fireblade or Laeran SwordJaghatai Kahn - Giant falchion Corax - Raven's Talons maybe? Roboute Guilliman - Sword Of Guilliman or the Gauntlets Of Ultramar (post-Heresy) Its unclear exactly when he got the Gauntlets, and theres been many a discussion on it so i wont get into it. Rogal Dorn - Bolt weapon and Chainblade of some sortLeman Russ - Spear Of Russ, a Frost Blade type sword, a Relic Blade type weapon, Bolt weapon Night Lord - Lightning Claws probably Lion El'Jonson - Lion Sword Vulkan - Spear Of Vulkan? Gauntlet Of The Forge? Only weapons I've heard of him using are the hammers he made during his competition with the Emperor, Vulkan's Sigal (the hammer Xavior carried, which may have been one of the hammers already mentioned) and a flamer shaped like a dragon (given to him by Ferrus, and its implied he didn't use it very long before giving it back) Mortatrion - Manreaper, LanternAngron - giant chain-glaive/pole-axe Magnus The Red - Chain-khopesh Lorgar - Accursed Crozius Horus - Talon's Of Horus, giant mace Perturabo - Forgebreaker other then that it seems like a preaty good list. Methelas
Ferrus Manus definetly used a hammer made by Fulgrim in a competition between them to see who would make a better weapon. Ferrus made the Fireblade and Fulgrim made the Forgebreaker. After insisting that the other's weapon was better they decided to give the weapons to eachother. This can all be read in Graham McNeill's book Fulgrim. The Emperor's Champion
I'm going to call his "hammer" a giant wrench, because that's just soooo much cooler. We pretty much know where the Gauntlets Of Ultramar came from in regards to how Guilliman got them. They were in possesion of an Imperial Reclusiam which was raided by Chaos forces. Guilliman hunted down one of the Chaos Champions and got back the Gauntlets from him and then began using them himself. Where they came from BEFORE that I don't have a clue, but the presence of a Chaos Champion indicates it was post-Heresy. Scout Sniper
Leman Russ - Spear Of Russ Technically he did have a spear the Emperor gave him but he hated it so much he once tried to throw it at the moon and then spent weeks getting it back so the Emperor wouldn't get pissed (don't even ask) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163114-weapons-of-the-primarchs/#findComment-1927435 Share on other sites
Imperialis_Dominatus
I think it's probable that the Primarchs also used different weapons (and even armor) over the course of the Heresy. It lasted 200 years and they had a lot of battles and all. Imperialis_Dominatus
Not to mention that Ferrus and Fulgrim undoubtedly wielded something before they did their trade... :D Not everyone is badass enough to just use their bare hands (good old Night Haunter...). Ju'kosian
That giant wrench is so cool, I did not notice it before.. I'm not to sure that Nighthaunter even uses Lightning claws, maybe he just uses his bare hands..
