Inquisitor Engel
The size of the primarchs is an issue of some contention. Some think that the whole 'they were massive' thang is simply allegory. Corax uses a heavy bolter with one arm in Raven's Flight. Primarchs were big fellas, though probably not twice the height of a Marine either. I think it's safe to say that Corax actually favoured the power-whip, it mentions how he asked for it to be forged specifically for him, as the irony of him using the weapon of the slave overlords of Deliverance to bring about the freedom of mankind pleased him. I'd wager he probably used it A LOT. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163114-weapons-of-the-primarchs/page/5/#findComment-2284095 Share on other sites
Dark Apostle Thirst
Corax uses a heavy bolter with one arm in Raven's Flight. Primarchs were big fellas, though probably not twice the height of a Marine either. Some orks use heavy bolters [or at least the orkish equaivalents(sp?)] with one hand. Of course, these are nobs and warlords, but then again Nobs and Warlords tend to be the size of a terminator. A direct qoute "I watched as 'nobs' fired weapons in one hand that even me (an astartes) would struggle to lift". I think it is from Brothers of the Snake or the second Space Wolves novel. A standard marines height was said to be around two metres, as Burias (Dark Apostle, chapter one) describes the Icon he Carries to be "three metres tall, taller than even him". So yes, I think that primarchs could easily be 3-4 metres tall. Note: this isn't going on models. And one could argue BL's relevancy.
