So I'm new here, been lurking for a while but haven't posted a lot, mainly because I wanted to get some of my stuff done first. I've only been collecting and painting for about a year now, I have two marine based armies, Space Wolves were actually my first army but at this point I haven't had the time to photo any of them. Anyway here are some photos of my chaos army that is still in the WIP stage. I still have some spawn, termies, possessed and a small plague marine squad left to paint, plus all of my vehicles to even purchase. This army is built around both Tzeentch and Khorne primarily, however some Nurgle is worked in there as well, the background i've been kicking around for them is that the two lords are siblings and that most of the marines in the army have been twisted and mutated by the sorcerer lord who is the actual leader of the army.

Very good, i love the greater daemon and the Aspiring Sorcerer.

 

Spacefrisian is right people may pick off the lack of highlights but everything else is good

I will admit, highlights are one thing I've never had luck with, the few time's I've tried I really didn't like the results. Thanks for the feedback though, I'll probably start trying to get that down as I do think it'd help on the details.

'kay, basic stuff first: You should thin down your paints and use more coats of thinner paint instead of one big color blob. You should rarely/never use the paint directly from the pot.

 

Conversion-wise, I like that you used the DA-bitz for count-as Thousand Sons, and a Giant as Greater Demon is also cool.

 

People will not like your army composition, though. I know the new codex says all the Chaos guys can be pals, but Khorne has this really really BAD hatred of magic and sorcerers, so that alliance is a bit shaky at best... And throwing Nurgle in will not help...
