hi all,

at last an update. continued to paint the termi. some freehands and minor stuff.

also made a test mini for a possible SM army. goal was to create a weathered look and to paint a mini fast. for the paint job i only used wash and drybrush techniques.

here're the pics:

Hi there,

long time i updated my thread, but finally i got some spare time from work. Well i worked on my core troops ( mainly some minor freehands and backpacks ), the cybot and the neverending story of my rhino. Actually repainted the roof and will load up some pics in the coming days.

Atm i'm working on my first HQ choice, a CSM commander. Lots of greenstuff and a freehand banner. Not sure if i overdid it with the tentacle stuff. Idea was to create a deformed, mutated image on the border of getting one blessing to much from the chaos gods.

Some pics:

I'm still deciding what his right arm will look like. Either i give him a halberd style weapon or a big sword. Will post some better pics and detail shots when the model is finished.

As usual c&c are appriciated.

Bye

I've been through this thread multiple times over the course of its lifespan, and I finally decided to post in it. Probably one of the coolest looking armies I have ever seen, and with every picture I see I say that is what chaos should look like.

Very well done sir, keep it up.

Hi all,

some more updates today I have included some detail shots from freehands and minor conversions. Really like where this project is going. Each CSM looks a little bit different. I also played around with colors. Although i kept to green and brown for a basic color scheme, i mixed different highlights or shades. So although the army keeps his uniformity, the single troopers have a unique look.

Here the pics:

Repainted the top of the rhino:

Some freehands and small conversions:

Cybot front detail shot:

And as promised some ( hopefully) better shots of my first commander:

Hey mate, they r fantastic. Especially the commander and raptor. U have a really strong concept there and even though the painting is busy (which is by no means a bad thing) it really compliments the conversion work.

Probably my favourite chaos army that I've seen. Excellent work.

@Brother Ducarte: Thx for the compliment. I know exactly what you mean with "busy".

Atm my painting style is more like scriblling. Although i look to get a clean painting job done, i always get carried away. Especially witht the freehands. But i think it adds to the chaotic feeling of the models / army. Beside that, its always a question of time. ( As i already spend to much time on one model )

bye

Hi all,

another update! Worked mainly on my commander and another raptor. The Commander is nearly finished. Just the base and some minor painting stuff.

Raptor turned out nicely too. Used yellowish colors for highlighting this time. Still need to do the base and backpack.

Next mini will be my second HQ choice. A sorcerer! Have some ideas and will give it a shot trying out some modeling.

This is so awesome. I've been thinking of making Mythos Marines recently, but now I see how much skill I'm lacking to do it properly. One of my favourite chaos armies I've seen so far.
