the marine has a nice colour to him, although its more of a bronze/brass than a gold, still nice

the terminator has a really good yellow, weather aint bad but i don't like the large amount of silver on his face, kinda detracts from the model, i'd only do a bit on the raised edges max

the gold looks similar to a model i painted for my gold using a boltgun/black/scorched brown mix, wash of badab black and the loads of coats of gryphonne sepia (with highlights of boltgun in between) so i'd be interested in finding out how you painted it...

as for it being too dark, i really like it, think it could look awesome when finished so i'd love to see more of it.. also i think once the eyes are done it'll balance the helmet out a bit more

Thanks for the replies, sorry I haven't been on for a bit to reply.

The 'Gold' Or Brass look was achieved by:

-White Backcoat

-Back layer of shining gold

-wash of devian mud

-heavy drybrush of shining gold

-lighter drybrush of shining gold mixed with chainmail

-very light drybrush of pure chainmail

-then a little shining gold drybrush again just to bring some gold back

-then a watered down wash of brown ink

Hope this helps anyone,

Kris.
