Looks pretty snazzy :P. A decent conversion of an as yet non-existent vehicle, and the paint work and weathering is good too. If I may though, what might make it look even better is if you could model a couple of scouts slouching in the 'doorway' on each side of the blood tray. Maybe scanning the area with boltguns raised or just chilling out after a succesful mission.

I like what you did with that speeder. I've done one for my Crimson Fists and now looking at yours I wish I'd done some things a little different.

The brass "handles" on the sides look good. Also the sides of the passenger compartment looks more stout than the one I did and I think yours looks much better.

The mesh looks a little big. Not a big deal.

I really like the aerials that you put on. I'll steal that idea for later.

The paint job is great. I especially like the caution markings on the side rails.

The only thing that looks out of place is that there doesn't look to be enough room for 5 scouts in the compartment. There is only one small bench in the back. It's a small thing, but overall your model looks great.

Yeah there was lots of discussion (with myself and others) about the size or the length of the speeder.. Having chopped it in half it really came down to what looked feasible in terms of the dynamics of the model... ie how stable it might look longer.. I think when you consider things... its not like you would fit 10 marines in the back of a rhino... so i went along the lines of the model looks right and balanced at the length it is, it might be a tight fit for 5 scouts lol but two could sit.. two could stand... and the last... well he'd squeeze in somewhere lol..

good look with the conversion.. look forward to seeing it :)

Hey, love the model, really nice work. I think when the GW one comes out you'll find your proportions to be spot on with their model.

How did you do the metal weathering on the yellow and black striping? Did you paint the yellow and black first then dab with foam that had a touch of metal on it?

Thanks

Thanks :) yep the striping was done by painting yellow and black first... with the same weathering process after... i didn't use a brilliant yellow yellow.. think it was only one of the basecoat yellows so it was dull.
