lunchb0x
okay. so I got some spare cash and I am looking into buying at least 1 more box o -something to add to the army... My army is themed along the lines of an older pack...so not much in the way of fresh recruits...ie 1 squad of blood claws...I was thinking of adding another squad of long fangs...or maybe 1 squad of blood claws or a transport...I have 3 dreads, and a rhino so far....maybe some terminators? Vassakov
Terminators are always a good bet. I would go for a squad of each, plus the FW SW upgrade pack. That way you can get a shedload of variety into the squads and still make them look Wolfy. LPetersson
What do you most often find that you wish you had so you could field it? Get that :D Hence why I'm saving up for some Attack Bikes... What's your playing style? Quick and aggressive? In CC by 2nd turn? Get some Bloodclaw Bikers :D If you get termies, have a look on eBay, I've gotten quite a few really cheap from there... Wing_Knight
I personally run a very mech themed wolves army thus i have 4 rhinos/razorbacks 1 whirlwind 2 vindicators 1 landraider 3 drop pods having said that just getting one thing its not a whole lot of fun to get a transport *shrugs* that's just me but if you do spend the extra couple of bucks and get yourself a razorback/pred/whirlwind since all of those are very easily magnetized so they can be all of those as well as a rhino depending on what you need at the time. I think its a waste of money if you don't mag them but thats just me. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163529-adding-to-the-army/#findComment-1922076 Share on other sites
lunchb0x
I am more the Grey/Long style hunter....I am not for just rushing in, I like to ...hmmm...as one of the guys at the store said... I like to play with my food before i eat it. So I am thinking maybe grey hunter squad and/or long fang squad? Or some more bloody characters LOLOL I have like no HQ models. Wolf Guard Hengist
If you aint got no HQ then I reccomend the new Wolf Guard Model I absolutely love mine to bits! The best thing I have bought in the recent months has got to be my attack bike with Multi Melta. It just performs so well, he cracks open tanks, assaults small weak units and in the closing second Turbo boosts onto an objective to contest it from enemy troops, its the best £12 I've spent on my army. Grey Mage
Yes it is, and Id reccommend it and the commander box, do some kitbashing with a few wolfy bits and youll have yourself a couple of WGBLs in no time. Definitely a good way to go. If you havent picked up the 13nth co rune priest figure I reccommend that to... its really really nice. Bran Scalphunter
The only thing to watch for is that the Rune Priest mini can have problems with the wrist joints. On mine, the part where you'd glue the hand to wrist and there's a little collar type deal, the collar wasn't all the way through, so there was a gap in it. Made gluing the damn thing nearly impossible. :) Even when I GS'ed a new wrist it broke frequently. ;) ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163529-adding-to-the-army/#findComment-1922599 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
On the axe side? I think thats actually a "design flaw" in its own way... every time Ive seen it its been like that to let the axe be held at a different angle. It took a while for me to get it right to. I highly reccommend pinning it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163529-adding-to-the-army/#findComment-1922796 Share on other sites
deedark
Attack bikes is what I'm just starting to paint - 1 MM and 1 HB, but I've magnetized the weapons so I can switch either way. Quick, tough and hard hitting as wolves should be. Termies are good but I feel you also need to purchased a drop pod at the same time So if cost is an issue 2 x attack bikes is almost half the cost of termies and pod and you really want the Forgeworld upgrade kit as it really makes termies special Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163529-adding-to-the-army/#findComment-1922848 Share on other sites
