Wolf Lord Mjolnir
First off yes, I know I cannot take an Ironclad but this is for the pre heresy Tempus Fugitives campaign in May which uses C: SM. My Ironclad Hope you like him. Mjol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163656-ironclad-dread/ Share on other sites
Vash113
Not bad, not bad, looks pretty good and the pose is nice and actiony too, all I can really suggest is perhaps more wolfy bits and some bolts for those armor plates. Ryzouken
I'm fairly certain whether we can take an ironclad or not is under contention. Certainly I read it as we are able to take one, just as we are able to take an LRC or LRR. It's the C:SM Ven Dread we are disallowed, because we already get a V Dread in our dex (that's better!) The model: there are parts I like and parts I'm not fond of, but it's a more credible model than many. Certainly it can't be misconstrued to be any normal type of dread! Grey Mage
Yep ironclads are perfectly legal in a SW army... and that one you made right there, yeah, its dead sexy. Dark Bjoern
Is that the Iron Warrior dread from FW? Very nice indeed. Only thing i don´t like is the chainfist. It´s so small/thin. Damn, i can´t remember where, but i had seen a conversion of a DCCW into a chainfist by using some chainswords. It had been looking more massive. But the pose of your dread is very dynamic and powerfull. And i like the additional armour you have made. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163656-ironclad-dread/#findComment-1923999 Share on other sites

Bran Scalphunter
First off yes, I know I cannot take an Ironclad *eyes glow blue* / Begin Rulez Pack Mode Aye Wolf Brother, the Space Wolves may include Ironclad Dreadnoughts in our armies. The Ironclad is a variant of the Dreadnought, so we are allowed to field them thanks to GW and it's FAQ'ing skills. For the same reason we are capable of including Land Speeder Storms in our armies. I'll point you to the FAQ located in my signature, choose the 1st for the Games Workshop FAQ/Errata. *eyes stop glowing blue* / End Rulez Pack Mode Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163656-ironclad-dread/#findComment-1924534 Share on other sites
Durfast Spiritwolf
Great stuff. I'm still in two minds about the May thing - using C:SM for a pre-heresy campaign is no more logical than using C:SW, in fact in nearly every way it is more logical to use a codex that predates papa smurfs reforms. I've tried to communicate with the organisers to no avail - a mate has got me a ticket but I cannot face cramming SW army into a Smurf list. Same mate has offered me a Guard Army to run with but, well, it just wouldn't be the same - hey ho!
