Lord Arkhand
This is a foot. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow002.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow001.jpg I have nearly finished making the other foot, then I will paint it. It is going to be a warhound but will be more humanoid shaped like a warlord. I think the arrows look a little flat. All comments welcome. blackblade68
How large is the foot? Can we get a comparison shot? Can't wait to see this done! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163855-chaos-titan/#findComment-1926222 Share on other sites
Lord Arkhand
Here is a size comparison picture. For the feet i used two plastic lampshades from halogen lamps which i demolished during a tech project. For an emperor size foot, you probably want a bucket. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow003.jpg As previously stated this is a warhound. I just like the more arcane shape of the larger titans but do not have the resources or time (or effort) to build one. im terrible at painting
awsome, yeh buckets would be more ....fitting.... for an emperor, also that titan looks like it's coming on well. RandomGuy
I have nearly finished making the other foot, then I will paint it I'm glad otherwise it would have been a hopping titan... Hmmm, this may be an idea for a scratchbuild. Anyway on a serious note it looks great. Only real criticism is that it doesn't really look like it can walk. The toes look too restricted, but that will probably change as things go upwards. Kuchinawa
Why yessir that's a foot if I ever did see one.... Make another one! and then a body, and then arm it to the teeth with guns and pointy things :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163855-chaos-titan/#findComment-1927727 Share on other sites
teh_perfesser
I think the arrows look a little flat. You are very correct, they are flat. The trim's thickness is too thin relative to the size of the foot. But it's okay... take a deep breath, don't let it worry you. Here's a suggestion, add bolts/studs to the arrow points (three per full arrow and one per trim point). Just a little bump, painted to match. It should help, I'd hope. Lord Arkhand
Thanks for the comments, i have taken your advice into acount perfesser, and have added studs to the trim of the foot. I have also made a second foot- also with studs, i am very pleased with the green stuff skull on the leg as it is probably the best green stuff thing i have done. Behold your new god's feet. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow004.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow005.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow006.jpg ...sucks to be him. Sgt Stabby
nice work, youve inspired me to start working on a titan of some sort where did you get the toes from, did you build them yourself? because they look pre-made. thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163855-chaos-titan/#findComment-1934332 Share on other sites
Lord Arkhand
Toes are made from a sheet of 3mm plastic with sections of sprue on top. I should have the head ready soon I intend to illuminate the eyes with LED's and a pot to change the brightness for a more malevolent glow. Lord Arkhand
I have finished the hips now, as well as a base this has allowed me to pose him in a walking pose. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow007.jpg Burnt out wreckage and a fallen marine still fighting on the base. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow008.jpg I am very pleased with my sculpting on this panel I feel I am getting the hang of green stuff. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow009.jpg Chaos stars on the joints. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow010.jpg A close up of the sculpting on the second leg i am also pleased with. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow011.jpg The marine on the base. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow012.jpg I have pretty much made the head but because of the LED circuit it will have to be painted together with the body. I am currently figuring out a way of being able to open up the back of the titan to change the battery. I am also working on a way of changing the weapon loadout. Any suggestions for these things would be nicely appreciated, also I am thinking of names for it, any suggesions there would be cool. I think Hades is a good name. Brother Gothard
The solution for opening up the back is ... MAGNETS. Just magnetize a hatch on top of the battery, et voila, instant access. Lord Arkhand
Just a small update, I have made the structure of the body and head, detailing has begun on the head and I have added the LED's in the eyes. I have not yet done the sides where the arms will join as I have not yet decided how I will make them detatchable for all the gun options. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow002-1.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/chaostitan-harvesterofsorrow003-1.jpg Also here is the hatch I made for the battery inside to be replaced when it runs out.
