Battle Captin Torodin
I do like the idea of two inquisitor lords, one from the deamon hunters in terminator armour and a which hunter one as normal. troops would be a squad of SOB, squad of DH squad of IST elites would be GK terminators and seraphim maybe an assasin Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/163903-inquisition-army/page/2/#findComment-1930811 Share on other sites
Thaelion Hexis
I have to say I have toyed with the idea myself. Although I think taking heavy support can be just fine. There's a difference between playing an Inquisition army and other players not knowing what codex is your base. Take heavy support from one, take more choices from other slots from the other codex. For example you could have an army with WH as the base. Take one sister squad, some Storm Troopers, a Grey Knight squad or two, depending on what points you are playing at. Fill in with an exorcist. Even though the well versed player could tell it is a WH base, it clearly has the feel and intention of a mixed Inquisition army. Especially if there is one Inquisitor Lord at the head of it. Inquisitor Fox
The army I usually use is a WH Inq Lord with retinue and Land Raider, a GKT elites squad, some assassins (either a vindicare or more often some DCAs), a stormtrooper troops choice, a sisters troops squad, a squad of seraphim, and usually some retributors. Eventually I want to add more vehicle support, and some more grey knight units and stormtroopers. Playing a mixed Inquisition army is just a lot of fun. We have a lot of fluffy characterful units and options, and my areas for expansion are near limitless. I almost never see an army like mine either, especially once I start adding things like arco-flaggelants and penetant engines. I always advise take what is neat and cool looking for you, and just run with it. Often your brain is able to use the models you just like appropriately, and having a wierd wacky army of a bunch of odd things is remarkably fun and effective all at once.
