ShinyRhino
I faced someone using Lash for the first time ever over the weekend. It pretty much single-handedly won the game for my opponent. Now I have some questions on how it works, and how to deal with it. I've used searchy, but have not had all my questions answered yet. PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT WANT TO REOPEN/REHASH THE MOVEMENT OF UNIT/BUNCHING DEBATE! Firstly, does Lash require line of sight? Does my unit EVER get a chance to resist this effect, or is it purely based on the Daemon Prince's psychic test? I don't even get a Leadership test to resist it? This power has a 24" range, correct? I don't know the wording of the power. I do know that you roll 2d6, and move the target unit that far. Is that restricted by the unit's max move? For example, are infantry units restricted to moving only 6"? I'd have looked all this up myself, but our shop is currently sold outof the Codex: Chaos Space Marines. Legatus
The targeted unit must be visible to the psyker. If the psychic test is successful, the psyker's player can move the targeted unit. There is no chance to resist it, other than psychic hoods or other defenses against psychic powers. The target s moved 2D6 by the chaos player. Isiah
Another option for defence is to put them in a transport . Other than that it's as Legatus says. Lash can be pretty nasty as you've found out. ShinyRhino
Thanks for the help. I'm guessing you cannot run them off the board using this ability, as no model can legally move off-table unless they are falling back? Legatus
Yes, it must be a legal move, no impassible terrain or off the board. Dangerous terrain would be the only way to directly damage the moved unit. ShinyRhino
Heh, I just found the Chaos FAQ, which answered several of my questions. It also ends the unit movement and bunching debate handily.
