Peredmorte
Where is the page in the rules where it states that you have to take a leadreship test to shoot past a closer enemy unit to shoot beyond that unit to one that is further away? Brother_Kluft
It no longer exists. In 4th edition that was a target priority test. But they took that rule out of 5e. (except if you are Black templars, see black templar FAQ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164015-where-is-ld-test-for-shooting/#findComment-1928230 Share on other sites
B_Steele
It no longer exists in 5th Edition 40k. Well, with the exception of the Black Templars, who have the rule specially added to them in their own codex. -Bry Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164015-where-is-ld-test-for-shooting/#findComment-1928233 Share on other sites
orphanfeast99
I think your talking about target priorety, and if you are then tahts been out since 5th edition came out, you can shoot at whatever you want, if not, i suspect it would be somewere in the shooting phase section of the book, either way, you only have like 60 some pages in the front of the book were you could find that kind of stuff, try there, if not, just roll out to BLS and ask them, they'll tell you Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164015-where-is-ld-test-for-shooting/#findComment-1928236 Share on other sites

Steelmage99
They must still take a Leadership test (at -1) to shoot at any target other than the nearest. Peredyne
The rule of Codex trumps rulebook. BT, DH, and WH have codices that have rules that have not been FAQ'd or Errata'd for 5th edition. The rules as written in these codices do not match up to the rules as written in the RB or in the current Codices. Since any special rules in the codex trump the rulebook, the BT vows still stand as written. Of course, the BT's can't use any of the fun rules from the new SM codex or their new toys. That's the trade off. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164015-where-is-ld-test-for-shooting/#findComment-1928397 Share on other sites
