o'rieley
Have they fixed it so that drop pods can shoot on the turn they arrive yet? did i miss it somewhere in the January FAQ? or is giving drop pods deathwind missiles still pointless. Seahawk
No they still cannot shoot; this is unfortunately intentional. It's not useless to give them upgrades, but don't expect too much use of them I guess... Frosty the Pyro
nope, any vehicle that deepstrikes counts as having moved at crusing speed and therefore cannot shoot. Walkers are okay cus they can always shoot everything, and fast vehicles can still shoot one+ defensives, drop pods however are neither, and therefor cant shoot when they land Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164053-drop-pods-shooting/#findComment-1928786 Share on other sites
Roland Durendal
exception to this is I believe is Black Templars. Their Pod CAN shoot the turn it arrives as it says so in the unit description for the Pod under the PotMS. IIRC that is. Actually it's Potms doesn't allow that, it's a special rule the droppod itself has. Ofcourse their downside is that their pods are at the Potms BS which is vastly inferior to the new ones. ItsPug
Made the same mistake myself, its in the codex entry on page 38 a little line at the bottom. "Drop Pods may fire on the same turn as they land". Actually has nothing to do with the PotMS. They're the only pod that can, barring the Deathstorm (from IA2 update) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164053-drop-pods-shooting/#findComment-1930005 Share on other sites
