Nicely done.

 

Im using stripped down Preds as Razorbacks as well.

 

Only because I want to use a stripped down Baal Pred for the TL Assault Canon Razorback.

Thanks Marek Grimfang. With the Predator being Razorback, yes it just look a lot cooler than a normal Razorback kit, also mean you got three tanks in one kit (Predator, razorback & Rhino :) )

 

I seen people converting the Assault cannon Razorback by useing the current plastic once from the RW spure. Might try that at some point but I'll wait until the new codex.

 

Also a little update

 

Just spent a good 20 min useing the GW spray gun on my tanks to spead up things, as said 20min compired to 4 hour painting both tanks.

So today job to wash my Rhino & Razorback & try to finish ether the first Razorback or the Land Speeder. Also still waiting on my Forge World order for my Venrable Dreadnought :(

Then come Sun, might possible have my last two Dreadnoughts for this army (Conflict Scotland tournament with my Legion of the Damned, depend what new/pre-release).

 

So I got a week now to get this army fully painted (mainly to wind up the slower painted that my wargaming club). While Tue should see the Space Wolves in there first battle... hopeful.

Update time

 

First up, my Space Wolves fought there first three battles that Conflict Scotland. I was orignaly going to take my Legion of the Damned but ended up picking Space Wolves on the Fri before the event because I wanted to try out my Wolfs more

I've still to paint the cable on the leg area. Also after taken the photo I notice I miss out area of the metal work which will be sorted. I'm also planning some free hand paint work onto the armour area of the body, but that can wait until tomorrow after I though up of some stuff to make it look cool.

So what have I got left

 

- I need to finish the second Land Speeder

- Need to get Shoulder Pads ready for Grey Hunter Unit No1

- Tide up paint job like cable for my Dreadnoughts & metal area I miss out on the spray gun models.

- Make a base for my Land Speeder No2

- Paint Power Weapons, as well as replace Grey Hunter No1 unit leader (T face helmet model) with a power weapon.

 

So got to get this done before 3.30pm tomorrow. Take some photos that my wargaming club.

 

After this project what other thing have I got planned....

Well there a few project I got under way, but right now nothing majory/brand new, as by the end of May my 40k time of the hobby will be focuse on my Iron Warriors as they make there return for this year UK Grand Tournament Heat 1 with a few new models been added in.

So with that, any 40k hobby time going toward sorting out older armies & bring them up to scratch or armies I started in the pass, to try get them finish.

 

Once that are fourm related will be

 

- Daemons. After many a play testing I have a army list I enjoy. I just need to finish building my bloodthrister, link to the project log has been posted on the first page.

 

- Deathwatch Kill team Biker. Around earily 2008 I built a DWkt theme Biker army

I will be cannible this army as I have new idea & conversion I wish to do. Also I want to make the army overall look a battle torn, not look like they just came from the =][= Xeno's strike crusier. Also why I did the DWkt biker back then I was not highly inspired.

But this time I have a better understanding in what I wish from the force. It should not take to long to re-place a lot of the bikes/re-paint.

 

The the other project I have line up as said are not board releated (evil xeno's & other one of a evil place that deal in magic)

 

So hope to get finial update done tomorrow along with photos of my Space Wolves that my wargaming club.

With these project :D

 

With all the recently armies... it mainly because I am full of energy for the hobby, trying to show people that no matter how little time they go even 5 min a day they can get a army painted, also with me doing model making (building, stuff for TV/film) I got a busy life with the freelance side of thing.... also the main part is.... I'm winding up my friend who took a year to paint 1500pts of xeno.

 

But in honsty it more down to, back in 2005-07. The old local GW I went to, a lot people where not really up for painting & nor where there armies that inspiring (not mean this to sound big headed). So this had a effect onto me. Also my college course (NQ to HND model making 2005-2008) it took up a lot of time.

Any army I started where ether to rush to a point that it was not that a standard I wanted them to be like in term of conversion & painting, this also led to me not useing them that much. I'd be luck to have half the army painted during those time.

 

But since July?? 2007 I went to a new local GW that a lot easily to get to & the staff are great. It thank to them that have encourage & supported me in term of getting armies built & painted. The manger of the store (GW Falkirk) seem to take 14 days min to get a project done as he said he can not stand playing with un-painted models & each army he dose along with the staff where great for the short amount of time put into them.

Also working as part timer last year & the staff there had some really cool armies, also Tale of four gamer's & other stuff just help me.

All I can say is it thank to move to the new local GW in 2007 it help in many way, the staff have been great & I have not regreaterd leave my old GW.

 

So now I'm painting armies for

 

Daemons - 20th somthing to 24th Dec (had a film student commission)

Iron Hands Drop Pods - 28th Dec to 8th Feb (film student commission)

I was going to start Deathwing but lost intrest in them due to lack of focuse & when a commission from a old college teach came up (two week solid £10 a hour)

Legion of the Damned - can't rememeber the date but was painted in 4 hour, was orignaly ment for Conflict Scotland.

Space Wolves - Took a month since last week there :D

 

Now I'm bring (as you seen in other topic) trying to bring my Deathwatch Biker up to date :D

 

But after that I think I'm take a break from Imperial Power armour as a lot of my time going toward my Iron Warriors for the UKGT (sort why going back to the armies like Daemons, Iron Hands, Deathwatch) in order to add new stuff after the games.

 

But yes just right now full of GW hobby energy thank to staff/friend from local GW & after working part time that another GW last year. Just feel good getting the armies to a rough standard of how I want them in term of painting & converting.

If any you's seen my 2006 era armies you'd all understand.

 

Also the main thing is to wind up my friends since it take them a while, still not letting it down toward my wargaming club owner that it took him a week to paint his Conflict army, while I got two armies painted in one day each.

 

Also with the Wolves future plan before the new codex

 

- Scouts, one of the main reason (beside Venrable Dreadnought HQ as what cooler than a Dread HQ) is the Scout, there so much conversion, as there not your normal Space Marine scout, there veteran who left there pack & offer some great stuff.

- Blood Claws, would not mind making a unit to try out & that least I have a unit there but well see

 

I also need to get around to making object marker.

 

For Marine chapter... I think Salamander will do me as the sort last one. I would not mind collect another Chaos Marine army but there very limited & end up being same as my Iron Warriors in term of army list... thing is Iron Warriors are my main army & I'd like them to re-main so. Which is shame because chaos marines is my main army.

As for more. Only thing currently planned is to make loot counter for the d3+2 mission, most like be Dead Space Wolves. Might make up Scouts if I got the time & bits (other project pile up right now)

 

After that I'm going to wait until the brand new codex come out.

 

Game wise the army doing good

 

Won vs Marines last week

Last night fought Orks & slaughter them all in Kill Points. Very suprise & was left with one grey hunter :woot: (of course a few more things).

Then fought Marines vs UKGT heat 3 champ, blood bath of a game, just lost as extra turn kick in.

 

But yes will try to get some time for the object & get them posted as soon as possible.
