Wolf Priest.

Grey Mage

Recommended Posts

Greets,

It is most common to give a priest black armor. I'd say 95% of them are painted that way. I'm not sure it's required though.

When I paint Space Wolves I give the Wolf Priest solid black armor. It helps to make him stand out in a sea of gray :( But, I have to think that I read that only a portion of the armor is painted black. Some of my armies had the upper half of the model black, some have one side painted, and my grey knights only painted the right arm black. It allows more variety in the army. It's up to you really.

It's just a thought and I could be wrong.

Better days,

i have seen some interesting things in my time playing. like has been said most are just black with gold trim. but i have see people just paint shoulders, elbows, knees, and feet black. or one guy left the shoulder pads the normal colors and painted the rest black.

i have thought about painting some of my normal grey hunters and bloodclaws with a black/yellow(or runes) arm or shoulder pad to signify that the priests are watching them to see if they can join the ranks of that priesthood... and i figure if one got accepted during a campaign that they would get to change their armor over yet. just i thought i have that might help in some way...
