Captain Engelhardt
That is one beauty! While the Dread is awesome, I'd like to know how you did the base ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164135-brother-dreadnought-saul-of-the-dark-angels/#findComment-1929714 Share on other sites
winterdyne
The base was easy: Texture: Sand and crushed cat litter with some bigger cat litter chunks. The dreadnought feet were already glued down. Spray black to seal. Heavy drybrush burnt umber. Rest of model painted. Drybrush 50-50 burnt umber - yellow ochre. This goes over the model paintwork to dust it up. Drybrush that mix again 50-50 with white. Drybrush bigger stones Vallejo Pale Grey. Apply a few blobs of PVA, allow to get tacky then dab on static grass. After flatcoating the model I'm going to do the rim in hi-gloss black.
