Rob_Loken
Hi there, been taking a break from my yellow fellow and decided to try the boys in blue. No plans for any sort of force I just felt like painting. Still got a bit to do on him. Just looking for some advice really. Hubernator
Is it me or does the guy look like hes steadily falling backwards? :P Apart from that it's a good model, nice work :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164144-ultramarine-captain/#findComment-1929818 Share on other sites
son of nocturne
Drunk in charge of a plasma pistol, "I say old bean the recoil in this pea shooter is awfully strong..." :tu: Very nicely painted and nice little mod, I am baiest about this model as it is my favourite mini in the range at the moment! The only advice i can give is a black wash on the metalics on the backpack then a highlight just to bring out the detail a bit better but otherwise its good! S.O.N. jester_prince
HAHAH "Drunk in charge of a plasma pistol, "I say old bean the recoil in this pea shooter is awfully strong..." I never really though of ultramarines being English but it suits them down to the ground... and now they will forever be English in my head, I just resist temptation to do a diarama of ultramarines drinking tea and playing cricket. Anyway, that model is awsome, I want I want. Very nicely done, Ive always loved ultras since they got their new paint scheme, back in the day I used to paint all their rim red just because the yellow looked so sick. Anyway this guy rocks, and personaly, Id keep the inking on the metal to a minimal, this guy should have pristine armour :D Its just not polite to go to battle in a dirty uniform. Rob_Loken
heh heh. thanks for the replies. Perhaps he is a bit drunk. Perhaps I should model a jug of moonshine at his feet. I'm gonna probably bring the shading on the silvers right down and then give it some sharp highlights for contrast. And the plasma pistol coils will be green brought up to nearly white (hopefully). And looking at the pic I need to add some more depth to the cross on his belt. I'd forgotten how good Chestnut Ink is for golds.
