CrippledPig
Hi everyone, I was requested to join the Bolter and Chainsword by a friend.... *Cough* Prathios... But I am actually looking forward to reading up on how things work and gettin to know everyone. I currently have a 1000 - 1500 point army (depending on upgrades), and I'll display some pics of the currently painted figures below. So far I am enjoying the sisters of battle, for the extra point over inquisitional stormtroopers, they are awesome. First couple of battles have been rough, but I am still learning. Here is a pic of them all together http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1864/1000014.jpg Five of the seven Seraphim that I have painted. Kinda wish they made an inferno pistol model http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/9348/1000016.jpg Inquisitor Triarius Lupas Behringer surrounded by his retinue http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6889/1000017.jpg My Vindicare Assassin http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/8220/1000018.jpg Canoness with a regular sister to her left, and a celestian to her right http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/1785/1000019wrm.jpg My Heavy Bolter Immolator http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/1605/1000020.jpg Was looking for a black and white themed army, so I figured that the valorous heart was perfect. I'm also debating something... I'm going to buy these anyway (just to have), but are arco's and repentia worth fielding? I figured that against an orc speed army, it would be nice to have some close combat power. And since repentia get that invulnerable save, they may come in handy. Aidoneus
B) Dear sir (madame?), you seem to have stolen my inquisitorial retinue! http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j88/Aidoneus42/DSCN0940.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j88/Aidoneus42/DSCN0943.jpg That sage in particular is just uncanny! Lucky thing my inquisitor has that converted psycannon to tell him apart. Also, your cloak looks like it's black, while mine is dark brown. All the same... That being said, I can tell you're a better painter than I am. It's evident in the faces and some of the shading. Very nice models, all of them! I'm sure once you get some Troops in there to support all that HQ and FA, it'll be quite an impressive force! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164201-new-inquisitor-steps-forward/#findComment-1930539 Share on other sites

Prathios
It was only a matter of time. Oh and just so you all know, those things look better in person, you can't even see half the detail he puts on those things without being able to hold em. Those Seraphim and Vindicare are news to me though, looks awesome man. Imperator Mos
Welcome to the Inquisition. Models look great, what's next on your force org? (pssst, i recommend an Exorcist, and a Chimera for your Inquisitor) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164201-new-inquisitor-steps-forward/#findComment-1930924 Share on other sites
Stargazer
A Chimera???? Pah a real inquisitor would have a Land Raider!! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164201-new-inquisitor-steps-forward/#findComment-1931203 Share on other sites
CrippledPig
:) Dear sir (madame?), you seem to have stolen my inquisitorial retinue! [pictures] That sage in particular is just uncanny! I'm sure once you get some Troops in there to support all that HQ and FA, it'll be quite an impressive force! ;) Sir... :) I have "some" troops that are unpainted, was gonna say plenty.... but then again, you can never have enough sisters. ---- Welcome to the Inquisition. Models look great, what's next on your force org? (pssst, i recommend an Exorcist, and a Chimera for your Inquisitor) Exorcist is top of my list at this point, at least 2 of em. Then possibly one more immolator with a multimelta, or heavy flamer. ---- I spent the remainder of last night painting the last two seraphim, and I got them both done. It's real nice to have a completed squad, and beats having one completed unit in an entire squad. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164201-new-inquisitor-steps-forward/#findComment-1931245 Share on other sites
WAR
1st -NICE ARMY. 2nd- if you decide to by between the repentias and arcos- go for the repentias.....the rules suck but beautiful minis 3rd- don't feel bad about unpainted had my sisters since 1998 and I have a few squads (like two painted) and the army is over 3000 pts 4th- immolators work great with the twin hvy flamers -12 inches and flame on Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164201-new-inquisitor-steps-forward/#findComment-1931466 Share on other sites
templargdt
Welcome to the Most Holy Inquisition! Always nice to have someone else join. Don't worry about being new. I think it takes a little while to get the rules completely down but 40K is a really fun game even if you don't get the details exactly right all the time. And it's obvious you already have the talent to make some very nice models, which is a big part of enjoying the game, I think. I'd definitely recommend Exorcists, I play Grey Knights so I love me some Land Raiders, but you have to respect the Exorcist. Now that I have read about the "Holy Promethium", and reminder about how awesome a flamer unit can be, twin-linked flamer it is :) ---- Welcome to the Most Holy Inquisition! I'd definitely recommend Exorcists, I play Grey Knights so I love me some Land Raiders, but you have to respect the Exorcist. The painting part is what got me interested in Warhammer to begin with. I had a small group of undead, and a beginner's box of Lizardmen (fantasy) back in 96-99. Sadly I did not know a single person in Maine who played the game, so I was stuck painting them all with no playing. Prathios is donating a couple of Forge World exorcist conversion kits to me, so I will eventually have a couple of exorcists... If I can build up some cash for a couple of rhinos... Prathios
Aye, he moved to Texas and not only were there players to play with... people are willing to give him units  I figured it takes like a month to order stuff from forge world so if im placing an order I should throw him some bones too, so what if you're broke. I think everyone here can agree that nothing sucks more than wanting that new kit of marines/tanks/tau what have you, and not being able to afford them. I swear though you better get those rhinos. Dont make me buy them for you... cause I'll do it. And then cry cause I can't afford to eat next week. WAR
good score for you CP and if I could +1 rep to Prathios Nice call getting the FW exorcists.....I hate the GW version cause if you don't own a dremel (which I do) you can not build the stupid thing with out pinning everything down to make it look right Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164201-new-inquisitor-steps-forward/#findComment-1931700 Share on other sites

WarriorFish
Huzzah for the new Inquisitor, may many witches burn before your flamers!
