DH Inquisitor for SOB army

Well the DH Inquisitor is very hard to make into a CC character but can act very well as a heavy support squad. Just load up on plasma weapons on him and his retinue and throw them in a rhino. Or if you wanted a LR then that works too, but don't really get your point worth out of a LR unless you are trying to use the assault ramps for something. I could never justify a LR as a firing platform, unless I need something designed for CC transported I shy away from their huge points cost.

If you're playing strictly RAW, the only way for you to get a Sisters unit into a land raider is by taking a Hereticus Inquisitor with a retinue and buy them a land raider dedicated transport. You won't be able to embark any unit other than the Inqusitor's into the raider at deployment (whether your chosen deployment is "normal", Reserves, or Dawn of War), but once the game has started, you can move the Sisters unit into the tank.

Sadly, DH dedicated transports -- all of them, including Inquisitorial land raiders -- are well and truly dedicated, unable to transport any unit other than the one for which it was bought.

That said, if you and your opponent are willing to do some minor house-ruling, you can use Malleus Inqusitorial raiders to ferry around some Sisters exactly as I outlined above for Hereticus land raiders.

But when it comes to Malleus land raiders, you run into yet another RAW issue: they don't have either the Machine Spirit or Assault Vehicle rules! Only Grey Knight land raiders were given these rules in the latest Errata. :)

Once again, you can arrange to house-rule your way out of this conundrum, but then you'll have to decide which version of Machine Spirit you want to use. The one in the DH Errata, or the one in the WH codex. If you're running two or more Inquisitorial raiders -- at least one from each codex -- then it definitely behooves you to decide which version you want to employ, changing the RAW for one codex or the other. Consistence is paramount, methinks.

Sigh. So stupidly complicated..... :(

any one find it odd that DH inquisitors are better shooty, and WH inquisitors are better choppy, even though this is counter to what GW wanted? think this will be addressed in their new codex?

If half of the rumors I've heard/seen are true, the whole "Inquisition" bit will be dropped from both codices, and you will have a "Grey Knights" codex and a "Sisters" codex.

IF you want a DH Inquisitor in a SOB army, I would recommend psycannon, with a mystic, sage and some servitors (likely heavy bolter/plasmacannon). Then let their LR be borrowed by the sisters.

I've found that including a DH Inquisitor + Retinue makes for a nice long-range fire support unit for an SoB force; having a psycannon on the Inq. and access to Mystics makes it a much better unit than the WH equivalent.
