mega_marines
Well my brothers, I ordered another Warhound Titan a few days back to compliment the other one I have, and just today I'm wondering what I'm going to name it. It's twin is the Jackal class variant of Lucius pattern and is armed with an Inferno Cannon and Vulcan Mega Bolter. The one I bought just the other day is the Wolf class of the Lucius pattern and is going to have a Double-Barreled Turbo Laser and Plasma-Blastgun to compliment the other one. When I thought of a name for the newer one, I drew a blank, as the first one has the name "Macto Ira", which translated to English means Glorfied Anger. So, I need a name to go nicely with it, that doesn't stand out to much, but doesn't sound nearly the same. The colors for the Titans are simple as well, since the main color is black, with a deep red as well for the secondary areas. Makes it seem very muted, but gives off the idea that it's incredibly fast and deadly to all who see it. The only thing that sets the color scheme apart is the checkerboard scheme on the left side of it's face that denotes it's super-heavy kill tally(which just keeps growing). So, anyone have any names they'd like to offer up for my next God-Machine? Any ideas would be great. -Thanks! -Matt ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164246-naming-the-god-machine/ Share on other sites
Firenze
Sirius? Canis nox? Something to do with canines... It works well. My upcoming 2 are Lupus Lux and Lupus Nox (light/night Wolf). Algoroth
You could stick with the "Macto" theme and go with something along the same vein. Macto Vires, for instance, Glorified Might. mega_marines
Those ideas both sound really good, but what would be a good way to combine both ideas of night and glory? Perhaps Vires Lupus(Night Wolf)? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164246-naming-the-god-machine/#findComment-1931543 Share on other sites

nathan-san
Tengan Toppa Warhound Titan! Model a giant drill on its arm (drills are in flavour with techmarines, and thus, titans) :D (bear in mind, if I ever get my hands on a Titan I will call it this, and find any means to justify it. Well.. unless its a small one, in which case it can have a boat modelled through its body and be called Dai-Titan) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164246-naming-the-god-machine/#findComment-1944746 Share on other sites

commander alexander
Cerebus will be an extremely comon name in warhounds, and I believe he's looking for something Unique. How about vires de Silentium (something I do know about latin is you only capitalize the second or later names) Which means the might of silence(black, stealth). Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164246-naming-the-god-machine/#findComment-2008860 Share on other sites

All good suggestions but did anyone think that maybe this new titan is the sister machine of Macto Ira? so perhaps something like Domina Ira or Domina Irae? do something unexpected and cool. EDIT: I mean we call boats and cars, etc. shes so why not titans? Lion in the Stars
"Ships are referred to as female, because [just like a woman] it costs a fortune to keep them in paint and powder." -Theodore Roosevelt, Secretary of the Navy. Still applies to titans. Plus. Look at the size of the guns they carry. Clearly male You mean clearly overcompensating.
