JamesI
It is always legal to decide to hold units in reserve. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164322-please-respond-quickly/#findComment-1932194 Share on other sites

Souchan
Sure why not. The HQ and 2 troops thing is an allowance, not a requirement. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164322-please-respond-quickly/#findComment-1932218 Share on other sites

Hymirl
up to 2 means 0 or 2 Or 1 ^_^ Basically you can deploy up to the specificed units if you want, or you can have them enter the table on turn one, or you can put them in reserve (and they'll turn up randomly after turn one). Iron_Chaos_Brute
To sum up, they can all be nearby and come in turn 1. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164322-please-respond-quickly/#findComment-1932273 Share on other sites
Cyber_Wulf
anything you OPT not to put on teh board has to roll from turn two as per normal reserve rules. anything taht isnt ALLOWED to be deployed because of the two troops and one hq restriction comes on turn one. nighthawks
I believe that the 0-2 troops and 0-1 HQ are allowed to enter turn 1 with anything else. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/164322-please-respond-quickly/#findComment-1932467 Share on other sites

No, thats not quite what the rules state. BBB pg 93 "All units that were not deployed, and were not declared to be in reserve during deployment, must enter the game in the Movement phase of their first player turn..." Even if he didn't deploy anything before the game, he could bring it all in on turn one.
