Commander Sasha
I used a tactic last week against Eldar jetbikes, which my friend questioned; can anyone offer advice; this would also apply to DA players, and I guess Land Speeders too. My bikes and his jetbikes were in CC, then I surrounded him with a tactical squad. As his models were now enclosed on all sides, I argued that he could not hit & run. Arguments included: For_____P11__Can't move within 1" of enemy model unless assaulting. Against_ P53__Jetbikes move over models freely. For_____P53__Not when assaulting. Against_______Not assaulting, withdrawing! For__________Still part of assault phase, not your movement phase. Against_ P75__H&R move not slowed by Diff Terr, so obviously is done at height, not on ground. For_____P45__Fall Back! also ignores Diff Terr, but Trapped! means 1" rule still applies. Thoughts? Legatus
Since Jetbikes and Jump Pack models can move over enemy models during a regular move or a fall back move I would say they can also move over intervening enemy models when they use Hit & Run to move 3D6" away from the unit they were fighting. Seahawk
It seems to be more or less a normal move that ignores DT, though it doesn't outright say it. I'd argue in favor of him being able to get away. nighthawks
agreed - may move over other models. typical movement for jump + jet is such, and there is no restriction placed by any rule involved. sorry about your tactic - good idea. Praeger
Also techincly this IS still part of the assault phase and so would be allowed under the movement of 1" from any models the unit was in combat with.
