This weekend I'm heading to a team tournament at U of R, and my partner is playing 'nids. I don't remember what he has, but he has numbers. My list goes along the following.

 

HQ

Heavy Support

Predator Annihilator 175 pts

Twin Linked Las Cannon, Two Sponson Las Cannons, Storm Bolter

 

Land Raider Crusader 285 pts

Twin Linked Assault Cannon, Hurricane Bolters, Frag Launchers, Smoke Launchers, Searchlight, Extra Armour, Multi-Melta

 

I've sepperated the army into three parts, the Hammer, the Axe, and the Spear. The Hammer is the Wolf Priest, Blood Claws, and the Crusader, which will target ranged units and to pack a big punch. The Axe Consists of the Grey Hunters and Tyr, who will engage assault troops and other close combat dedicated units. The Spear is the Predator, whose's sole purpose is to hunt armour and monsters.

 

Any general comments or suggestions for this list? The grand total of this list is 1244, so options may be workable.

Why do you have a stormbolter on an annihilator with lascannons? If your going to spend the points on it give it extra armor or a HK missile. The weapons it has are at cross purposes to the pintle mount.

 

Your Wolf Priest is a bit expensive, do you really want to trick him out so much? You could drop only a couple peices of extra wargear and fill out the bloodclaw squad. As an example, healing potions is of little use when riding in a landraider.... whos going to shoot at you? I suppose it could come up but there seems a better place you could put those points. Dropping it lets you bump up the pack to 14 strong as an example, and dropping it and the pintlemount gives you more than enough for an attack bike as another.

 

If hes got numbers, what you two probly need more than anything is some antitank. Consider putting in a couple of melta speeders or attack bikes? Or perhaps a razorback to help support the hunters with the dreadnaught?

More antitank and more troops.

 

And if the BC will be used to target ranged units why 3 pf? swap for 1 or 2 pw and try and fit in a multimelta attack bike.
