Iron Snakes WIP's

Hey all,

As i have finally chosen a chapter to paint up after 2 months or so of "Maybes" and what "if's", i have finally chosen to go with the Iron Snakes. Much of my decision lies with purchasing Dan Abnett's "Brothers of the Snake" black library novel and searching the site for fellow Iron Snake players (Chronowraith's Iron Snake beginning's owe much credit)

So Below is my first attempt at the Chapter scheme (sorry if the images are blurry, in the process of getting a new camera):

Essentially i need to finish of the base, the bolter and touch up some of the white on the shoulder pads. I'm not sure to as whether the gun metal look of the chapter has a blue tinge to it similar to the Grey Knights as i've been told by some. But I'm happy with my first result.

And here is some other shots and wip's of my headless captain and the first model Ive done:

And the back at an attempt at some cloak detail stuff:

Any questions and/or comments are welcome. <_<

Nice scheme, I like it a lot !

Don't know if it's the pics, but the highlights are not very visible. You might want to emphasize them a bit. Same comment for the headless cloaked guy, the highlights on the mantle could be more obvious. The white lines are superb though !

Thanks Brother DjoulZ. Yeah the camera isnt that great so the highlights aren't visible much plus im still trying to work out how I'm going to highlight the metal exactly. As i said above once i get myself a better camera ill be able to show more detail in the pics. Fingers crossed <_<

Much appreciated bobte11th5!

phew, not just me who couldnt see the head, i was beginning to get worried

lol, yeah he's headless. I dropped the model the other day when i was painting him and his head came off. So i decided to paint it up seperatley and pin it in perhaps. Ill have some pics of him 100% up soon.
